Have you ever noticed yourself attracting difficult relationships and wonder why?

Many of my clients struggle with this and it often leads to these women feeling super frustrated with the dating scene. I’ll get to that pull-your-hair-out level frustration with dating in a moment, but first, let’s recognize WHY you keep attracting difficult men and complicated relationships.

Here are 3 reasons why strong women attract difficult relationships:

1. Strong women are strong healers

Strong women are equipped to handle whatever curveballs may come their way. They’ve been through their share of pain, emotion, and are equipped to handle both the pain and emotions of those who need healing, emotional support, and comfort. Strong women know just what to say, what to do, and when and how to follow through within their words and actions. There’s no wonder why women who are strong healers would be attracting partners that need a lot of healing and attention.

2. It’s a Challenge

Strong women LOVE a great challenge. Think about it – do you find it difficult to turn down opportunities to take up something of substance and challenge? If it’s true in your career, your hobbies, or your non-romantic relationships, it’s likely true for your love life too. If something is too easy, it may feel like something is wrong or missing. Whether it’s emotionally unavailable men or being the woman who allows the space for a man to become greater within themselves, we as women welcome a good challenge. And even if we aren’t realizing what we are signing onto initially, subconsciously, we dive head first into these realms of unknown.

3. Resilience

Every strong woman is resilient. To be resilient, you must overcome adversity. Without obstacles to overcome, relationships, (or for anything else in life) there would be no catalyst to prove a strong women’s strength. Ergo, that difficult relationship then becomes the very obstacle we subconsciously attract.

While other factors are at play when it comes to the kinds of relationships we attract, being strong, resilient, and open to a challenge often attracts men who are not ready to reciprocate support.

Here’s the good news – these difficult relationships tend to come to those of us who are wise, self-aware, and confident – all traits that ensure you will attract and keep a high-quality man when he comes your way. So stay beautiful ladies, and stay strong.
